Is Survey Spot still open for business? I went to take some surveys on Saturday and the site is gone.

Not sure what the problem was, but yes SurveySpot is still in business. Doublechecked the website today, and it was fine.

I have been a member of SurveySpot for over a year now and though I have received a few checks for surveys that I have completed. I have never heard of anyone winning the drawings where you scratch or spin?? Any one win anything?

Yes, I’ve won on the spins a couple of times. $50 off Nike purchases and an Amazon book free coupon. Once got $5 on a drawing on points in the sweepstakes pile too. So it does happen, though rarely. If you go to their site rather than wait for emails you get in a lot more surveys.

I have played this game for a long time and I NEVER won anything-NOTHING-NIL, I don’t get it, I assume that its just a catch to get people to do their surveys. I have found out, that many of these kinds of lures, aren’t really worth the time it does take to take a survey, some are just to long to do!! And that if you do win a prize you usually have to pay for the shipping & handleing. I just “x” it all out.Its getting to be a headache. I like the opinion pools, that way you do get to put in your opinion and on the polls, at least you can see what every-one else is thinking.

I love survey spot I have received now 4 checks from them. I am going to try and take as many paid surveys I can each day and to let the money add up. Yeah it takes awhile but its still free money and alot of the surveys are fun. Most surveys are like $3 bucks so if you try and do one survey a day for 30 days that’s 90 bucks a month. I am hoping to be the 25K winner but as the poster above stated that just might be a scheme for people to take surveys and if it is well they got me because that’s one of the reasons I do it!

Best wishes All!

Ive been with them for years and the only thing I get is Im not qualified to get the little 3 4 or $5.00. I do get to play the slot machine but you still dont win anything at all you get entries for a chance to win but you never do they just want you to check the emails. Its is a waste of my time to take a survey and give the money to a charity. I give up. I will stick with Inbox and Survey.com and Pinecone research atleast they do pay in checks. Check out Pinecone research I do surveys for a few mins and the next day they send you a check. Good Luck there all good. Any questions contact me

are you a senior citizen? I’m 80, and for about a year now, instead of spending a lot of time answering surveys, I spend a lot of time being rejected for them. Recently, I was rejected after one question, my age group; I think surveys are not covered by the anti-descrimination laws. I have a rule of thumb, if a survey offers as much as $1 cash, I will surely be rejected or the survey will stop with an error, or they’ll just ask a question with no applicable answer.
I’ll check out the 3 sites you recommended.

I would like to know when this sweepstakes drawing is since I have 4000 entries into it. Please email me and let me know.

The last quarterly awards were distributed on October 10, 2008. So the next quarterly $25,000 drawing should be sometime in early Jan 2009.

I have been taking survey’s for Survey Spot for a year. I have over 11,000 entries into their drawing each quarter and never won anything. I don’t believe anyone ever wins. And like someone else mentioned when it is a paid survey I answer what seems like more than just screening questions, these questions get very detailed. I never qualify? This site is a waste of time. They are not like the other sites that really do pay.

You need to consider how easy it was to collect those thousands of entries. If you didn’t manage to do any more surveys than the average, then the average member has a similar number of entries and yor chances of winning are the same as if you each had one. So, don’t count on being a winner during your lifetime. One cite gives thousands of points for every little profile survey; guess how many it takes to get anything. Even if tou are ‘awarded’ dollars you may never get them as you need $40 to get any in hand.

I have quit all together taking Survey Spots-surveys..I don’t think many people do win, I read where a few people have over 10,000 entries and still haven’t won…Nope this I believe is a true fake. I know that I’m not gooing to waste my time any longer with them…
Does anyone know of a REAL survey where I can make a few bucks??? Thank You.

Cheurbs,

Sorry you are not having any luck with the sweepstakes surveys, but SurveySpot does also occasionally send out surveys that offer straight cash rewards too. I have been paid by them several times, so I assure you they are legit. However, if you would like to try some other cash paying surveys, check out our top ten user rated survey panels listed on our home page: http://www.online-paid-surveys.net. The list is updated regularly based on our readers reviews and ratings.

I’ve been doing many survey sites for many years. I used to say I spent a lot of time doing surveys. Now that I’m 80, I spend a lot of time being rejected by them. At least SurveySpot lets you (theoretically) play an instant win game for sweepstakes tickets. In recent times, i have frequently been denied the Instant Win game when I was enttiled. Today, for the 1st in months, I got to play every game I was entitled to. However there plenty of other problems to make up for that. One survey claimed I had checked ‘Don’t know’ and another answer on yhe same line. It couldn’t point out which, as I hadn’t clicked ‘Don’t know on ANY lines, but I couldn’t go on. I clicked on another survey, but it went into endless download mode. When I tried to report these things, I found no e-mail address or phone # in their Help, and only a warning in the e-mail that they don’t read replies to its address; nothing about where to reply to.. Finally tried a link in the fine print to their owning Corp. Do you think it was easy there? Their e-mail contact page kept pushing me out and I had rewrite it 3 times before it maybe got through. It said I hadn’t entered a title (I had); did I want to send it w/o one? I said yes and next saw the blank message screen again.
To those complaining about not winning sweepstakes: Having thousands means nothing when everybody has thousands. The odds are same very much against you as if each thousand were reduced to one, but the big numbers make the unsophisticated think they’re doing well.

I can sympathize with you regarding age discrimination but, for me, I have not found that to be the case with Survey Spot. I am 65 so I fall in that category of “over 64″ but I have been give a reasonable number of surveys to complete from them. I’m sure that at your age there are probably a large number of companies that would not care to include you in their demographic for sales. Unfortunate but probably true, especially because they see seniors as tight with a buck or having little disposable income.
I am particularly hesitant to go any further with Survey Spot because their website is not user friendly, i.e., it takes a LOT of patience to look things up. Once you learn their layout its not too bad but they certainly do NOT make it easy to contact them.
I’m unfortunately not the one to mention the sweepstakes to. I belong to a dozen or so survey panels and so I’m busy enough with the paid (albeit very low pay) surveys. Since there is no way to verify legitimacy of sweepstakes I seldom enter them and I NEVER sign up for a survey that only pays with sweepstakes entries. But I never got into this to get rich – I just enjoy doing the surveys. HOWEVER, if they promise to pay me, even if its fifty cents I want to be paid.
Survey Spot sent me an e-mail today stating that it can take up to 8 weeks to post rewards for surveys (although their website states that when you complete a survey the points will be posted immediately). This should mean that all points are IMMEDIATELY listed under your history and that is NOT happening. I remain extremely frustrated and wary of them at this point and that is unfortunate since they were recommended highly by a friend of mine. She is slowly changing her mind about them also, but we are taking a wait and see attitude.

Before I write any type of review, I am going to give this one more shot.
What is the e-mail to notify Survey Spot that they are not properly crediting the surveys you have taken? I have all of the information, i.e., survey #, date taken, subject matter, etc. and have tried e-mailing them multiple times. Complete silence. This is very frustrating but I want to be fair before I write on multiple blogs/review sites. However, if this is a ripoff site I do want to warn others.
Hope someone can help with this.

I assure you SurveySpot is not a ripoff site. The panel is a product of SurveySampling which is a well know Market Research Firm . You can contact them using the contact form on this page:

I have received what I believe will be my last e-mail from SurveySpot. They refuse to answer my questions directly about surveys I have taken (even though three times I have gone through the trouble of listing EVERYTHING about the survey, i.e., survey number, survey topic, etc.) We are talking about 900 points here. Instead they give me some mealy-mouth answers that are vague and completely ignore the two issues I have raised with them. Instead they give you some weird stock reply and basically treat you like an imbecile. For me I will no longer be wasting my time with them. I have moved on and hope the rest of you will have better luck with them but I wouldn’t hold my breath. I maintain this site is a scam.
